Wow, that was a bargain! We paid £17.99 for 2.5L of Johnstone's kitchen and bathroom paint today. We needed it in a hurry and that's what having to shop locally is like when you live in rural place and it's 60 miles to the nearest DIY shed!0 -
saw this now on Tv £24.99 +£5.99

Paint Wizard Pro is the smart decorating tool that can cut down decorating time; making painting walls and ceilings quicker and easier with no drips, mess or splatters!
looks better as you can use any paint and not messay like a normal roller
and 2 x additional Paint Wizard Pro rollers0 -
Comparing Paint wizard pro and the Paint pod is not really fair.
The pod is an electric device to constantly refill roller with 'expensive ' paint.
The wizard is only a hollow roller. If you 'think' hollow roller the wizard is extremely expensive.
Choice is difficult.
Buy cheap rollers and chuck away.
Buy Pod ( don't spend more than £35 ) use expensive ?? paint .
Buy wizard ( rip off price..... but a GREAT idea ) use cheap paint.
Wish I had the answer.0 -
We bought one of the Paint Roller's that you see advertised on the tv after the kids channels have finished (we actually bought it from the same company but from Ebay and saved £5!)
It's a bit fiddly to use, you have to water the paint down slightly but once you are used to it it is very quick and a little paint seems to go a long way. With this system you can put either cheap or expensive paint in, but you have to water it slightly anyway. It also comes with an edging roller which I have never used, the wife tried it and could not get on with it so stuck to a brush.
Overall, for the £24,95 it cost I think it is worth the money. Another plus point is that you get very little mess from it.0 -
we have the pod
bought it at full price OMG but heyho
We were doing the hall stairs and landing on a 3 storey house so it was a grim job - anyway he (i didnt get a look in- which I dont mind) did it and said it was really good.
So much less mess too - loved it.
Just get to get him to do the other rooms now and then will be happy - suspect by then will need to do the hall again - there is only so much that will take magic erasers LOL.
anyway - yes I would recommend it especially now its cheaper - its less messy than rollers too - less bending down -Eleventh Heaven no 710 - we can all dream0
