Where do I stand one this? Magazine subscription

Options
I have a magazine subscription and just recently they sent me my magazines but with a damaged binder. The front of the binder is buckled and the metal bit inside where the magazines go is loose at the bottom.

Anyway I e-mailed the company a couple of days ago and haven't heard anything yet. I've just had a look online and it says that if you have a damaged part to send it back with a covering letter. Trouble is I don't see why I have to pay postage to post back something that's broken and not my fault!

Anyone know where I stand on this? Thanks :)

There dont seem many companies that immediately reply to customer emails. Why they give you the option when they cant be bothered to reply in a reasonable time frame is beyond me.
I expect they want you to use national rate calls so they can mak money.
Your best hope of avoiding postage is to request a returns label or freepost address, assuming you can get one or the other from them.
You may have to phone and ask for a speedier response.

Thanks. Shall wait till next week and if no reply will try to contact them through their site.

Just seen that they do have a freepost address...stupid me for not reading it properly! Will it cover binders as well do you think?

yes, they are charged to account at the delivery office
  • Is it Eaglemoss? If it is they send a bounce-back email with the FAQs on it first and you have to reply to that if your question is not covered.

One other thing, I have had several damaged items from them and have never sent one back yet!
