Freezing homemade biscuits

Options
I have made 80 homemade biscuits this morning. I have made peanut butter ones, cranberry and orange and also coconut with jam. Now question is I am going to put 40 in the biscuit box for the family over the next few days. I want to freeze the others, the recipe I used said I can freeze them. I don't know how best to freeze them would they best in a box or bag? I intend on defrosting the whole lot at once when I need them.

  • I usually freeze them in boxes as they don't seem to get broken as easily that way. However either way will work. And if you don't have enough room in the freezer, you could always send some my way. :rotfl:
    Take the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
    Just take the first step.

  • I hope somebody can help me. I've never frozen biscuits, do they not go soggy when de-frosted? Or is there only certain types of biscuits that can be frozen?

    Thanks
I won't buy it if I can make or borrow it instead

No they don't go soggy, and yes you can freeze all types of biscuit sucessfully. I just put mine in a bag and bung in the freezer.

Thanks to everybody who replied to this post! I often wonder about this when I make biscuits (particularly Twink's Hobnobs - there's only 2 of us in the house and we end up demolishing the lot! )
  • Thank you for that, it will save us eating them all at once now!

Thinner thighs here I come, lol.
