I have seen people mentally-speaking "give up the ghost" and die soon after retirement.

I am a postie and see every year many eldely folks do just this. They retire and say how busy they will be, then after decorating the house sit in the chair and watch TV all day rarely going out . Very sad for me to see and when they die (too young) the son comes round with the trailer to remove the leftovers after the family vulture have been in , then the councli come in and decorate the place and then a new elderly moves in and so it goes round and round.

You have similar plans to me. GOOD LUCK

All the healthy elderly I see pounding the streets on my round keeping fit always say to me, "WHEN YOU RETIRE DON'T TAKE TO THE CHAIR"
