Debt management

Am new to this so apologise if I am posting in the wrong place - I think this is the most appropriate place.
I'm trying desperately hard to get out of debt and in the process discovered a debt management company. Does anyone have any knowledge of Harrington Brookes? Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi i am with them for the moment
if i was you i would try and get a free paying one rather than one that charges, it suits me for the now but i do plan to change when iv read their terms and conditions. sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.
I will be free in less than three years with a trust deed - my only option as debt management was taking too long

I agree with Numpty do not pay someone else to do it. You need that money to go to your debts not in the pocket of a middle man."You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts" - Arthur Schlesinger

Thank you! Unfortunately have signed up and paid them last october but they seem to be doing nothing despite numerous letters. I'm paying them monthly and still getting late payments, charges etc etc onto my cc accounts as they don't seem to be doing what they said they would. I'm getting more and more stressed and all because I' trying to get myself out of a mess and thought I was doing it responsibly. Sorry! Does that make sense?0

My credit card charged late payments as well but this was because they want it to reach the level where they can pass it onto a DCA. There was nothing i could do about nor HB. it should be anothe rmonth then i will be dealing with DCA and my debt will them come down.
Unfortuntely dealing with getting out of debt is one of the hardest things iv ever had to do i wish it was as easy to get out of debt as it was for me to get into it:mad: sometimes my debt panics me..... EVEN after 4 years or so.
