Super excited

Sorry to shout, but I'm excited because I'm about to get a tax rebate of £1300!! Nobody except you guys will understand just how great a feeling this is knowing I will be able to slice another chunk off my debt!! :T

And I have to say... for the first time ever... I'm glad the tax office messed up because if I had been given this before I was really concentrating on my debt, or been paying the right amount all along, I'd have just bought another pair of shoes!! :o

Okay... that's it... excitement contained!! ;)

That's great news - I just had a small amount of cash that I remembered was lying around on a card and have been able to pay off one small debt as a starting point for DFW motivation, so I know it feels great to have that!

Like you say, also great it's come when it has! :j

I know what you mean... it's a mix up from my last company so I've been overpaying I think for about 6 months, but also my last company didn't tell them about a different taxable benefit which means I also owe them money?! But I'm paying that back so hopefully in April, when my tax code cahnges again I will get even more nett pay!! :D

Tax confuses me!! But I'll happily celebrate the windfall!!

:rotfl:Me too. Everytime I get my tax code or the statement thing at the end of the year I read them diligently not understanding a word of what its saying. I think I'm paying the right amount. What has made me laugh is that the £60 tax back we were all given last year is now being taken back as overpaid tax  not sure how that works.

It's really funny... I work in HR, my Dad is an accountant... we both read the tax letter and both came up with a different interpretation of what it meant!!! ha ha!!! :rotfl:
