Prior to 1979, there had been a Conservative government for 17 of the previous 28 years. A bit rich to be still blaming Labour.

Labour and Conservative are just different Managment groups, they have an Agenda. It's a very clever system, it's so you never know who the real people in Power are, so you don't complain to them, instead you vote Labour, Conservative, ect it's a joke lol

There is certainly not as much between them as people make out, Blair could have been the leader of Labour or Tory with ease

I'll just have to trust you that some big, powerful, sinister group of people is controlling the government, but no one knows who they are. Apart from David Ike and Uri Geller I imagine.

The last time it was tried in the UK to any great extent was in 1973 under the tories,they increased money supply by 30% in a single year,it was all part of the then chancellors tony barbers failed"dash"for growth,it led to the inflationery pressures of 1974/75

My only experience of printing money is having seen the excellent, recent German film 'The Counterfeiters'. Where talented Jewish artists were drafted by the Nazis to forge sterling notes.

I think the idea was to print massive amounts of the British currency in order to totally destroy it's economy. ***spoiler***Luckily the Russians turned up just in time and our economy survived***spoiler***

Maybe Gordon Brown saw it.
