Hmm, if these are anything like the £5 bunch in Tesco's I've seen bigger daisies!!

Stiil, I guess it is the thought that counts!!

Called at Asda in Hulme on my way into work at 8am. Only had £10, £15 & £18 roses, and some sorry looking £5 carnations.

Not sure there's a whole lot of thought put into £2 roses from Asd lol!!! But if they are nice then definitley go for the cheaper option!

ANY flowers I didn't have to buy for myself are greatly appreciated, even if they were daffodils picked from beside the motorway! It is the thought that counts, how many people won't bother getting anything for their other half? Or even worse, getting them a power tool or 'something for the house' ... :rotfl:
  • I would hate my OH to be ripped off for £40 at a florist for flowers for valentines day - £2 asda roses and £38 cash for me to spend on what I want would be much better!;)

Sainsbury's are doing ones for £4.99 aren't they?

I totally agree. I've told my DH that I don't want flowers tomorrow and I really mean that. If he wants to buy me some in a few weeks, for no reason at all, I wouldn't complain though!
Am hoping to get a nice pressie, though;) . Have dropped hints for this http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=60133&ww=on&do=search_results
    I think it's a good alternative to lingerie!:rotfl:

I know it's the thought that counts, but I've just been in Asda and the £2 dozen roses are terrible. The bunch is the size of about 3 ordinary roses. You'd be better getting a bunch of 6 roses in Marks & Spencer for £2.90 (even though they aren't red).
