Looking for kitchen floor tilers in Inverness

Hi

I hate the kitchen floor vinyl which the builders fitted in our new build in Inverness so want to get rid of it and fit ceramic/porcelain/stone floor tiles instead. Rather than buying the tiles separately i would prefer to buy and have them fitted by the same company in case theres any problems later on...but got no idea where to start! Just looking in the Yellow pages i came accross the following companies which supply and fit tiles in Inverness, would appreciate if someone could recommend one (or any other) based on the price and quality of work:

Topps Tiles
Braeway
A1 Tilers
Holistic Home Improvements
R Bown Ceramic Tiler
Adam Grant
K J Calder
I.L Grant
Tilers
RJ Interiors
Fired Earth
Tile Express (supply only?)

Thanks :)

  • Hi there,
Firstly you need to decide which tile you prefer, ie,porcelain is very hard wearing, ceramic is also hard but not as good quality as most porcelain tiles, Natural stone is probably the most expensive, and has a few down falls, ie,it's not water proof, stone tiles must be sealed after fitting to ensure any spillage does not affect the look of the tile, any spilled liquid will eventually soak into the stone if it is not sealed (extra cost). It is also a soft material that can crack or chip easily if something is dropped on it,or it's not fitted correctly.but! is is absolutely beautiful when fitted, nothing compares to real stone, ie travertine.have a look at www.a1tilers.co.uk , go to gallery, they are natural stone specialists and can supply and fit any tile you desire with the minimum of fuss, also all work is fully guaranteed for 12 months.they are registered fitters for topps tiles, and are in great demand, you will be well looked after.
