Be warned Ranting Post

After months of trying figure out which is the best broadband provider for our needs with best connection and unbeatable price, I decided to stay with Orange. I have terrible network connection with Orange and was going to leave them for 02 whom have the best signal for my mobile in my area. Not sure about their broadband. Last hurdle i got an offer from Orange and couldn't refuse. They offered me 300 minutes, any network, 100 text, unlimited landline calls and free sony ericson c902. For...wait for it...(drum roll)...£10 + 5 (broadband).:money: Ok coming from me this is the best result ever. I am not known to haggle so this to me is a brilliant. So chuff with myself i end up celebrating _pale_ doh.
Rant Starts Here
(Here comes the rant, Skip to "Rant ends here" if you don't want to read it)

I went out to have something to eat, which was fine sort of. I decided we needed a taxi and going out in the ice cold snow wasn't good. Usual taxi ride in my area cost £3 (standard cost +50p per stop) to the centre. Again not detrimental. Half an hour later no. Decided to call them. They told me it was so icy where i am and with the hill there is no way they can pick me up. So they told me to go out my park so they can pick me up. I thought this was odd since there were cars coming in and out the park. Little irritated, about them being late and refusing to pick me up whilst others are having no problem manouvering the park. Still silly me decided to just go along with it. So off i went slid out of the park and eventually manage to see where taxi sat.
Got in ask to stop at the bank and to my final destination. They told me i would get charge £5. Ok not much compared to other area in UK are having to pay for taxi but by this town standard price it is way over priced. I was way over charged. Unfortunately this isn't the first time this has happened. Once i got charge£7.50 for going in the back of tesco instead of the front. Reason apparently that Tesco front is considered as still part of the centre of town and behind is outside.???Seriously Basically they are talking the p. I don't like to argue but i gues this is where it leads me people like that taking advantage. Unfornuately general attitudein this small town is, if you are not born and breed in these parts your an outsider and be treated as second class citizen. thank goodness not all are like that.
Rant Ends here( ish)
Ok back to the story. I was enrage and outcome was I decided to get a car. I haven't bought it yet but trying out different ones, but what the hell am i doing!! Suppose to be saving some money not spending it. Althought i can't think of any other solution. Busses are few and far between. I just had enough of these money grabbing taxi firm.:(
