  • There is a question:-
On what day would you find it difficult to get your hair cut in Bangkok?

The answer apparently is Wednesday, taken from here:-

its worth noting, from the Ts+Cs "All taxes, fees and charges must be paid for by the passenger" which means if you win you will end up having to pay at least £70 per person

I believe this is the norm now unless the sponsors are willing to pay for this to save the embarrassment of having to ask for money thus losing the goodwill gesture they are trying to create.

  • That sounds expensive!! I won business class tickets for two to Phuket last year, the flights were over £5,000 each but taxes were only £198 each? That was with Thai Airways and we were treated like royalty flying Heathrow to Bangkok, then Bangkok to Phuket:confused:

Nowadays any flight tickets you win you have to pay taxes, I have just won some business class tickets to dubai with emirates, taxes come in at £70 each which is pretty good value for business class on the A380.

won tickets last year and paid tazes as well
