Iceland Party Food

We're having a party on Saturday for OH's 36th birthday. It's the first 'proper' party we've ever had and I'm far too excited!!

I want to do some food and i'm tight on time so the party Iceland stuff seems great value in comparison to Tesco/Sainsburys, has anyone tried and tested it? Seems I can get a fair bit for about £15 (they'll be about 30 people) plus a few dips, crisps etc. OH's sorting drinks so I've got the cheaper end of the deal :rotfl:

I catered for a small party for around 30 people all from iceland and everyone was really impressed! I'd say go for it, I'd def use them again! and it was really cheap!

For a cheap "wow" factor you could also do some bits yourself.

Little yorkshire puddings baked with cocktail sausages in them or better still a small piece of roast beef & smear of horseradish sauce.

Pieces of the brown irish soda bread (Rankin & Tesco do it), with a mixture of cream cheese (cheap one is fine) & smoked salmon (you can get trimmings in Sainsburys BASIC range).
  • Thanks so much everyone, sounds as if it'll be good stuff. And thanks MrsE for the extra ideas, I especially like the smoked salmon and cream cheese one. I'm finishing work early today so I can go shopping :)
