cancelling experian credit report

Hi folks, was just wondering how i go about cancelling my credit report? I've searched but with no joy.... When i signed up for it it was free but now there is £6.99 takin out of my account on a monthly basis. Ok it ain't that much, but its better off in my pocket than theirs.. My partner and I are now trying to cut back on spending and save as much as we can and this is one thing on the list that must go!

Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for replys in advance!

I phoned to cancel mine last month, they tried to convince me to keep it but you need to be firm and stop them if they start their sales talk. I also emailed them to confirm that I had cancelled my membership so there was a written record.

when you sign up for your free credit check they give you the phone number so that if you wish to cancel you can. read the small print

i forgot about mine, until they took the first month from the bank.

rang them and they cancelled no fuss.
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?
  • I was on a ship in the middle east with no access to a phone but i did have email. After one email request they replied within a day with a polite acknowledgment that they had canceled the subscription.

I cancelled within the 30 day notice period and they didn't give me any sales pitch whatsoever.
