Pole
wannabe
I don't know if anyone can help me (or if they would admit to it).
I have just started pole dancing for fitness ONLY.
I want to buy a pole to practise at home and not be in so much pain after classes that I can't pull up my trousers lol.
I don't know which is the best for at home though.
Any help would be appreciated.

I want to start this up (for fitness reasons too!) Is it good I think Ann Summers do one that you don't have to have up all the time - good in case the family come round so you dont have to give any awkward explanations lol! Not sure of prices but I think they have an online saole if that helps at all?

the only problem with poles that you dont fix properly. I am guessing you cant put any weight on them, so really you will be just standing next to a pole.
I bet the ones you use in class are pretty well fixed to the ceiling and floor. Not just done with a spring in the middle as I guess the temporary ones are.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
pole dancing is brilliant fun...I came home one day to find 3 NHS doctors twirling round in my livingroom in their pants... (Flatmate's girlfriend :rotfl:)
We had an x-pole, it's a bit expensive (at £120?) but it's good quality and fairly easy to put up and take down. It braces itself against the ceiling and floor (you screw it up so it's tightly braced, not springs) - you need to make sure you have a strong enough ceiling though
hth x Craftster.com is eating all my free time!0 -
Yeah X-Pole is by far the best, but as recommended, find out the info about joists in your ceiling as it really needs to be placed under one. it can also be put on spinny mode. New it costs about £180 delivered though.0
