Tax codes and the like....

Afternoon all!
A question regarding tax...
For quite some time now (we're talking years!!) my tax code has always been higher than my workmates who do exactly the same job as me, have the same contract etc. At the moment my code is 609L and all my colleagues are 603L. Any ideas why?
And I got married on the 15th of February last year... Do I need to tell the tax office?

Do you ahve your tax code notification for the year, they are normally sent out in about Feb-May and show what your tax code is made up of? ie if there are any allowances or benefits that may alter your code.0

Marriage does not affect your tax.
It sounds to me as if you have a fixed rate expense allowance in your code number. What is your job?£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0 -
