Ok so looking for a bit of advice
Im currently on dmp with payplan and paying £400 a month which i have upped from £180 since i started. I am also putting £150 aside each month this year so that next january i can up my payments to £600 and be paid off by xmas 2010 and the £150 im saving can be for any unforseen events, birthdays etc. I have around £50 a month spare, but like the security of knowing i have a little as a back up just in case i need quick access to some cash.
I feel this is the best thing for me to do as i have quite a bad illness and dont want to be in the stage a few years down the line where i cant work but still have debts. I know i could put the £200 now towards debts but as i say need a back up in case i get bad cos sick pay at work is awful
anyway i have passion, i dont smoke, drink, buy clothes but i love cycling and it is the one thing that i can do for free (unless bike brakes lol) and relieves stress etc. I want a new road bike that is around £500, i know this might seem a lot but i havent a car, dont use public transport and its my only way of getting around. Also it helps my condition. Obviously i cant justify just throwing £500 at a bike without saving but its hard on the budget im on so have decided to get cash through quidco etc but have a few concerns
Orange mobile - can get £100 cash back on a contract that is £30 a month, currently pay £10 - £20 on pay as you go so not much more a month, then the said phone i can get at least £200 if i sold it on ebay as i have a phone and they dont bother me as long as i can ring and text. would this be ok if sold the phone and just paid the contract
Dating sites - i have a lovely supportive gf so not interested in looking at these but could i just join, not go on any dates or use the site but still get the cashback
Any other ways i can make decent cash? Cant do gambling sites as had big problem with them which added to my debts
Pat on the back if you are still reading this lol
Thanks in advance

Hi Big - Its great that you have that goal, and want to go for it.
My 'extra earner's include - ipoints (it's not cashbased, but the rewards are varied - perfume, flowers and vouchers so it goes towards birthdays etc)
Ebay - get whatever you can on ebay
survey sites - I use onepoll, slow but I get about 20p a day, cashout at £40. Quidco, naturally.
Head over to 'up your income' site for a few ideas!
PLus I think it's good that you're keeping that money back for emergencies. What creditors want is that they get every last penny, but usually real life doesn't work that way! This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
thanks for that
just ebayed a fair bit of stuff and racking brain for other things to sell lol
dont think the surveys will work for me, as quite busy with work and looking after bro
will obviosuly speak to gf about signing upto dating sites, its only to get the cash back lol
also can i get someone else to order a phone for me (credit rating is nothing short of apauling) and go through my quidco account??
at the end of the day the money is there as a safety net. i got upto £400 last october but something that i had to pay for arose and it helped out loads, just rebuilding it after xmas and feels so much better knowing there is summin there if i need it0
