bankruptcy and bailiffs

i am in the process of making myself bankrupt. i have filled the forms etc and am trying to raise the court fees. i am doing this by attempting to get a grant from local energy company as suggested by yourselves. however, this takes time. meanwhile i havent been able to pay debts....the most worrying debt being for council tax which is collected by the bailiffs. i have just received a default notice from them asking me to ring them so that they dont carry out walking possession which i was stupid enough to sign.
how do i hold them off long enough to get my bankruptcy sorted?

Hi
If a liability order has been issued, I do not think the CT debt is included in your BR, so you need to get hold of Herbie21 urgently. PM her.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
who is herbie21? excuse my ignorance. the debt is witten on my bankruptcy petition...just need to gain time. alo if the energy company dont help me with the fees, god knows what i will do. exhausted every avenue.0
