Right peeps its that time of the month to list me bits and bobs as i got paid yesterday
Wages: £1192.04
Outgoings this month:
Rent: £280
Broadband: £75 (3 months worth)
Mobile Phone: £25 for T-mobile/£17.50 for '3' mobile contract £42.50 in total
Travel Card: £33.80
Monthly Saving: £10
Credit Card: £5
Loan: £303.71
Overdraft: £107
Total: £857.01
Money left for whole of the month: £335.03
Ok time for some explainingI have two mobile contracts cos as you all know i rabbit on the phone like a good'un and my phone bills have been coming in at around £60-£70 a month. So this way is cheaper as im saving myself the difference between that and the amount i normally would spend. The T-mobile contract is up in July so i will get rid of that when that is up and ill be £25 better of as well cos my '3' contract phone gives me loads of mins and texts
Unfortunatley i spent into my overdraft again the only explanation i can give is me being a pillock  (again!!)
Ive got £335 odd pound to last me until the end of the month, ive got me mates birthday coming up which i will need £100 for and im out this friday as well and ill need £50 for that as well.
I know its an extravegance (sp?) but its a very good friend of mine and i wouldnt miss his birthday, plus although im taking £50 with me on Friday im going to try and moneysave a little bit by trying not to spend all of it
This leaves me £200 left, a £100 out of this i will need for general living and im looking to pay £100 overpayment on my loan.
What do you thinks best though guys? should i make an additional overpayment on my loan now or wait until the end of the month and make sure that i dont overspend into my overdraft? then if i have money left at the end i can use that to make an overpayment :undecided
Thanks for listening to me monthly ramble
James
p.s. at some point im going over to the "un-necessary spend challenge" threadSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -
Thanks for listening to me monthly ramble
you finished??
ready for my opinion ( and no ya can't say NO!)
I'd personally leave the overpayment til the end of the month, you don't want to be going into your overdraft again because you never know, something might crop up and leave you short if you use it now... see it as a just incase buffer, if the over payment suffers this month, I'm sure you can make it up and if you don't go into your overdraft... bonus! overpayment and going out all sorted
plus if ya have any monies left over from ya goings out, you can add that in to the overpayment too0 -
One thing i forgot to factor in is the line rental for the phone line rental as well for the broadband because my mate and girlfriend wanted to get rid of the home phone line
. Altogether for 3 months worth of broadband and line rental is £107.96 which works out to £35.98 a month for line rental and Broadband.
Is this relatively cheap? cos ive never paid line rental for a home phone line beforeSavings Total so far for 2023: £8,062.580 -

Are they just trying it on so you pay for it?
Line rental is about £11 mate! Maybe only a tenner!
Don't let them use it though. Make sure it's in your room!0 -
yeah im not going to cos if im paying for the line rental its not fair on me
well i had a really good time over the weekend i managed to make my self £210 on a casino offer plus i have quite a bit all tracking in on quidco thats due to pay out in June totalling £145 so my total for matched betting is going to shoot up by over £355 :j im well happy about this and ive nearly reached £2300 :j :j :j
