Interesting article from Times Online related to this promotion.

Oh dear thats exactly how I felt after booking 3 nights at the secret Bournemouth Hotel which when you read up about it on trip advisor the comments are so poor and it just sounds revolting.... will probably not go as don't want to waste the petrol only to have to turn around and come home. So if anyone wants my booking let me know.... thought hubbie would like it as a surprise!0 -
I stopped using trip adviser as most of the complaints are petty.
It's £10 a room so what do you want for £10 ? and how can "THE TIMES" jurno compare someone who paid £39.50 for B&B when it works out £7.50 for breakfast and £10 room = £25 for a couple B&B.
Also look at the time he was trying to book 11.45 nearly 2 hours after the promotion started and other people on here and other forums managed to book after his 11.45 attempt.
Also he only used parts of the hotel reviews that backed up his story and the quote from the heffer people he used if you read the full entry they said they would go back on a business trip.0 -
shame, missed this one : (I'm a MoneySavingExpert.com lover

I've come back from the Bournemouth hotel - it was absolutely fine. Although looking up the one we stayed at on Trip Advisor (I think it can be one of three), it didn't look that bad. Agree that a lot of the comments on Trip Advisor can be really trivial or from somebody with an axe to grind.
We went there for a gig, the rooms were clean, public rooms were nice, staff were friendly, free internet in the lobby, breakfast was half price and it was fine, and we had a great time.0
