    according to this the amount that the married partner now recieves has gone from 125k to 250k so dont think this would apply to me anyway as she died before but hope it helps anyone for the future.

    seen as i went to see a solicitor today they didnt mention anything that the rules have just changed but they dont apply in this case as my mum died before, so either my solicitor has got it wrong or it just doesnt apply to this case.

    ummmm may be worth investigating anyway
