Sky broadband limits

Not sure if in right forum board

Sky will give me free broadband is 2gb limit. Is this enough and will the 2gb limit get used each time i open a web and it starts to download any images on the site for example this site with all the images and graphics if i was on here reading and answering posts and questions for most of the day and going to a different page on the board forum will my limit last me or get used up very quickly and go down and not last the whole month ??? i already know if you watch a lot of music video etc it will not last but i just want to know for general surfing not just for reading emails a bit more than just that


And also does the same apply for mobile phone browsing when they give you a 3gb limit thanks or when they say fair usage policy?

A 2gb limit will be fine for normal browsing, I use a web n walk at work and I've only used 2.5gb since the beginning of January but that includes downloading. A movie is roughly 0.7gb and they normally last an hour and a half so as long as your not wanting to do that or stream things you'll be fine.

Thanks good information does the gb you used so far included each and every web page how many web page visits was you able to make before your gb reached the limit it is at the moment becuse from what i understand your gb gets used even when u just visiting any website(graphics jpegs that get dowloaded use up gb limit too?) is this true ? so i am just trying to work out if you can visit a lot of website and do more than enough surfing before it runs out Also does your gb limit get used up on msn messenger too by conversations

so far u have helped me understand so i guess 3 films and your 2 gb has been used up

same for music streaming and videos? How does it work for those?

I basically spend Monday to Friday on the internet about 6 hours a day and download a couple of programs a month and a few podcasts. Not sure about messenger but I don't think it will use up much cos it's only text. Streaming seems to be the same as downloading, but I only use it at weekends off my home broadband to watch the football. Most web pages are only a few kb so you could visit loads before your anywhere near your limit. My last few have been 4.4kb, 97.3kb, 2.1kb, 1kb, 17.9kb and 22.4kb. So (and I think this is right) 100kb = 1mb, 1000mb = 1gb you'll have more than enough as long as your not wanting to download things.
