Not receiving any benefits

Can anyone help with some advice please?

I have recently found out off my mother that almost 3 years after she had to leave work (where she had worked for over 20years full time) due to a serious illness, she has not been receiving any form off benefits (incapacity etc).

She did end up selling her house and go and live with her brother. Which was the best decision at the time, and worked well for her as she is now better. She only made about £5,500 profit and has basically lived on that plus her overdraft since.

How do I go about trying to rectify this and who are the right people to be contacting??

  • It is probably best to post this in the benefits and tax credits board. I assume they will know about things like this over there. :-)
