getting mortgage on non permanent job

Im working for an agency and have been for last 8months, can I get a mortage in my name?

I know I will be there for minimum of 6months

Now I cant get the full amount I want, so my sister has offered to put her name down on the mortage in order for me to start on the ladder.

Unlikely. the lenders are looking for reasons not to lend these days.

The question they will be asking is what you will do at the end of the six months,if the job folds.

Usually, you have to have had a contract renewed at least once for a lender to even consider it.

If your sister wants to help that is good. Although you could have a joint mortgage, chances are a lender would want her income to fully cover the borrowing without taking yours into account at all though.

    Hi

I have had my contract extended from 6months and now in my 9th month. Will be sitting down with director to talk over ext 6months +

My sisters income will be able to cover all but £3k of the amount required, with no other mortgages in her name - thats on a multiplier of 3.5

Will apply for the mortgage and see what they say
