Can the OR attach IPA/O after discharge ?I just declared yesterday and because i work for a certain bank (that is also basically bankrupt) i have been suspended pending dismissal .I want to do something worthwhile career wise and am considering go back to university to do a teaching degree.
My wife is still earning but assuming we keep the house after our outgoings we have no disposable income.
I am thinking rather than get a job stright away updoubtly we then get IPA for the next three years i should start studying and claim benefits .I have not been out of work for 25 years so if figure i am owed some .
Also as we have arrears on the mortgage and a secured loan will the OR make allowance for us to repay that ?

If an IPA has not been in place at some point before discharge then one cannot be imposed afterwards.
However, if an IPA was in place before discharge and then stops before or after dishcarge due to a change in circumstances, this is put on hold - so after discharge and your circumstances change within the 36month period, it can be re-instated.0 -
remember as well if the IPA is suspended what you've already paid counts to the 36mnths should it be restarted againWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

If you can afford to not work for the period then don`t .
I didn`t and we avoided an IPA.
The system is there to be worked in this respect...if the oR had not taken a large sum that we were assured he wouldn`t ( by his colleagues!), then I may have looked at it differently.

That's awful. The bank are going to sack you for going BR, when yesterday the gang of four sat there and said "sorry" without any real remorse.
It's outrageous, it is they the *ankers who should be sacked or worse.
What gets me is that none of them had any qualifications in banking, so how on earth can they run banks. Apologies for interupting the thread:mad:Better to be poor than a slave to wealth
