Small double bed.

I want to buy a small double bed for my girls bedroom. A normal size will take up all her room, but a small sized double bed would be ideal as she wants to get rid of her single bed now she is growing.
Anyone know here i can get one? Argos only have divan ones. A divan won't fit up our stairs as we have 3 floors and her bedroom is the top one. So it needs to be a self assembly one like a wooden or metal one.

given a recent thread part of me is surprised that you would agree to her having a double bed

have you tried ikea for the slat type ones you build yourself? or a local independent furniture store for a wider variety? perhaps a futon that could double as a sofa?
that said, ikea beds being continental tend to be larger than the norm, but beds as a whole are a standard size - inbetween sized ones are hard to come buy.
just as a thought, you may have more joy looking for an oversized single bed than you will a small double
either way, bear in mind you will need all new bedding.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
My MIL just bought a divan with drawers in, as a 'Queen' bed, kinda like 3/4. hey its lovely! And only £500
She got that from a furniture place up at the Industrial estate where we live
oops forget the divan part, just ask the shops for a queen size bed 0 -

kimberley,
got ours from the additions catalogue, only about £140, it is a 4' bed, it is a divan, but the bottom is in 2 halves, so easier to get up the stairs than the mattress was.
