Rossendales & CT Arrears Advice please

Hi - Looking for some advise here Chaps n chapesses

Rossendales paid a visit today -He didnt stipulate who he was at the door fully- very underhand way and I let him in under the assumption he was "the council"

He then ( after a telephone call to HO ) over another matter declared he was Rossendales and I advised him to leave or I would report him to the police and his superiors for Failing to disclose.- which he did stating he would be back in a few days.

Now he has seen what was on view - ( oh nooooo!!!) and fathers car in the drive. lol

I signed nothing- agreed to nothing and Stated Categorically that the arrears would be delt with at the council and not through them.

I am currently on IS/CTC/CB with Council Tax Benefit and Housing benefit- Lone Parent.

After he left I went to local council offices- but were extremely busy and made an appointment for them to contact me- and I them today with regards setting up repayment plan.

So Fingers Crossed.. Have I done the right thing- What do I do next ?

Advice would be truly greatful-which letters need sending etc..and where can I find them- ( Know about Herbie's Site) cant afford the fee unfortunately need the last £10 in my bank to live off and pay a token payment for Arrears .

Hope you can help. cheers

Nik
