HGV Training - advice?

Any advice on how to find a reliable way to get HGV training that doesn't cost the earth? I'm asking for my son, who is currently not employed, so can't get sponsorship from an employer. Anybody know if there are grants available?
Thanks

if he is on jobseekers allowance it would be worth asking the jobcentre. I say this because my dh asked about renewing his forklift licence and they sent him to learndirect. i am sure that learndirect also do hgv training though not 100% sure. May well be worth a phonecall though.
