Hi I am looking for a beehive cake tin, 3D, to make a cake for a get together with the theme of beehives. I have seen some for aroung £24 plus postage but I was obviously hoping to find cheaper, ideally under £20. Lakeland used to do one but don't sell them anymore according to their site
Hire is also fine, I live near Leeds, so in that area would be great
Thanks everyone

I found quite a few places in USA that sells the Beehive Cake Pan by Nordic Ware
Amazon got it for example.
http://www.amazon.com/NordicWare-54537-Platinum-Collection-Beehive/dp/B0017140GQ
and Ebay item number: 380038604710But after you paid the shipping and custom you are probably better of buying it here in the UK for £24 +0 -
hi i make birthday cakes too and at that price you could probably improvise a beehive. If you use a pudding bowl to make the gake you could either use different thickness strips of icing to make the actual behive look on the outside. Or you could cover it all in one piece of icing and then use icing pens to mark out the beehive lines and stick cut out shapes for the door etc, iyswim0

How weird - I was looking at the beehive tin on Lakelands website just the other week!
Perhaps contact your local lakeland shop or the main one in the Lakes and enquire if they have one left knocking around ?? just a thought they are pretty helpful
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together0 -

Lakeland have traced one for me in a store down South and it is being sent up to my nearest Lakeland, no aditional cost. Tin is now selling for £15 so that is really good. There is one on ebay but it has been used etc so have decided to pay for the new one
Thanks for asking phunklesNothing Changes if Nothing Changes0 -
Phuinkles Lakeland came through. The tin was sent from Truro then to Northallerton, the shop that had tract it down. From there it was sent on to Harrogate, my nearest shop. This was all done within 8 days how good is that. It is now safely home with me!! I am currently in the middle of making a table cloth to show it off to it's best. The cloth is about 50" square, diagonally across 1 corner there in an appilqued beehive about 9" high. I have then appliqued 9 bees coming out of the hive with flight trails sewn in running stitch. I plan to also to do a stitchery circle of bees flying round the centre with a big enough space in the middle for the cake stand to be placed. Hope this all makes sense.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0
