There are several different versions of this scam (Google Treasure Chest, Google Money Tree, My Google Payday, emillionaire, Google ATM etc etc ) - what was the name next to the charge on your statement?

It showed on my statement as - Cpipay.com/n-remed 866-834-6878 GB i have canceled my debit card however i am worried that the company will still be able to take the payment next month. i have never signed up for anything before and am so angry with myself!

Not heard of that one before but a Google search shows a few people mention the charge after they signed up for the emillionaire scam so it could be connected with that?

For example it is mentioned here and here and here.

CPIpay.com is also mentioned several times on complaintsboard.com and a connection with emillionaire.com is suggested several times in the comments here.

A reporter in the US is working on a story about it according to a post here so maybe contact him as well.

I suggest you tell your bank or card issuer that there were unathorised transactions made on your card and ask for a chargeback to be made. That should get you a refund for the amounts charged. Then cancle your card and get one with a new number so that the fraudulent charges cannot be made again.

Thank you so much for the info - yes it was emillionaire - i have an appointment with my bank tomorrow although i have already canceled by debit card - does chargeback apply on debit cards? I thought this would only apply on credit cards.
i will certainly not be so stupid in future! x

What you need to aware of with these scams are that they usually advertise them for a quid or something but in the small print it is a subscription if you don't cancel it.

Regarding making money with google, it mainly revolves around adsense, alot of people do make good money out of google adsense and do only work around 2-3 hours a day but that is those who have over 10 websites in different genres that are all on the first page of google generic search results, what they are not telling you is it will take at least 12 months and alot of work to achieve this realistically, also you will need some understanding of Search engine optimisation.

Dispute the transaction with the bank. Tell it the monthly payments are "unauthorised transactions" as then, under the Banking Code (which most card providers are members of) it's its responsibility to sort it out. You did not agree to these transactions so they are unathorised and the bank needs to treat them as fraud.

I have been caught as well - thought it would just be 1.97 and then they took 144.00 and now its 33 every month - have reported it to my credit card and they did refund the 2 payments originally paid but now have a letter with documention sent by emillionaire so that I can recognise the charge - yes I recognise it but did not agree this is my problem am I likely to have to pay this and can't cancel my card either as I owe other stuff on the card - am is a real pickle with this and cannot either phone or email them to get a response - phone does not work and email does not response to me - have sent the letter to my credit card saying don't accept the charges but am I likely to have to pay back the money again. Really cannot afford this.
