Cheapy Laptop Needed

Right my laptops just broken after a year and a bit, it wasn't top of the range or anything so I'm hoping I can get a similar one for cheapy...

I need it for Uni work, internet browsing and the odd game (obviously optional but I did buy the new Football Manager). WLAN is preferred as that's our internet setup but obviously I can find a way around it if I can't get this.

Would a budget of £300ish nab a laptop good enough for the above? Any vouchers would be greatly appreciated too ;)

Cheers guys.

BTW it wasn't a hardware fault, I was violently sick over the weekend and unfortunately for the laptop it wasn't far away (sorry for that mental image:D )

I'm no good with specs etc. But would you buy a refurished one? You may get more spec etc for your money if you buy a refurbished one. I'm not sure! Sorry its not much advice.

Also have you tried the techie forum? You may have more replies

  • Look at the Dell website - small business section.

Just make sure you keep it in a waterproof bag next time!!

You can get an Acer or Advent for about £300 but I don't trust them. Try "offer oftheday.co.uk for deals but you can even try Tescos. Even the cheapo ones tend to have built in wireless. I need to get one myself for my mum.
