AccuRead

Hi all, had a calling card of this company today saying they need urgent access to inspect my meter

I'm a little suspicious as it is a pre-pay meter through EDF. National Grid came out last week to reset the meter as it was taking a prev tennants debt and Im with a housing association so I can't see why they would send a 3rd party when they have their own gas men??

I just googled them and saw this on their site http://www.accuread.com/content.aspx?apn=3

Also, I am being chased by Capquest for an outstanding debt whcih is currently on hold as I have requested my CCA. My partner said he has heard they pull tricks like this and send bailiffs round??

Anyone heard of AccuRead??

We used to get regular letters throwing wobblers about access to our house to read the gas meter. Except we did not have a gas supply.

Ring them and tell them they need to stop contacting you.

My partner has said to hold my number and call them. I'm a little weary about what their intentions are
