Does anyone have any websites aimed at kids for things to make with a sewing machine? I've got mine out for some curtains and they're both very interested (3 & 8) and have both made a cushion cover but other than a teddy I'm stuck for things for them to do.
They're both boys by the way before anyone suggests dolls clothes

My 12 yo son has come home today with a fleece hat he has made in 'textiles' as they call needlework these days.
It is black fleece fabric. 2 pieces cut in a bag shape and machined together. The bottom 3 inches were sewn together on the right side so that when you fold it up the seams are all on the inside if that makes sense? He has handsewn a little felt motif on the front. I think it's really cool, but he says it makes him look stupid:rolleyes:
A quick google of 'making a fleece hat' brings up loads of ideas;)0 -

Do they give birthday or other presents to any adults?
Plastic bag re-user? (hem smaller ends of a long rectangle leaving room to insert elastic, hem long seam, elasticate the ends and add a hanging loop - my sister is still using the one my son gave her years ago - I think he was 7 when he made it with my machine)
Laundry bags for their rooms? (large bag with drawstring)
Shoe bags, swimming kit bags, lego bricks bag? (same as laundry bag but smaller)
You can stick or applique felt shapes or initials on things to personalise them.0
