Hiya,
I was going to make some chicken and sweetcorn soup, with rice in it. I have looked in the cupboard and all I have is Uncle Bens Boil in the Bag Long Grain Rice.... Does anyone know if this will do the job okay???
Many thanks for any help

I don't see why it shouldn't work, although I would recommend boiling the rice in another pan, then putting it into the soup as cooking the rice makes the water really starchy. On the other hand, if you want a really thick soup, cook it in the soup!0

I once went on a boating trip in Thailand many years ago, and they cooked a hot spicy fish soup over a single gas burner and dropped a boil in the bag rice into the soup to cook it! It was delicious!

I don't see it making any difference. You could just snip it out of the bag and use as you would have used 'normal' rice. I think boil in the bag is just portioned out/no sieve required (for those lazy days!)0
