i Had a tribunal last week where my appeal against a decision made by the csa was turned down - they did not take anything i said and letters i produced from them into consideration at all and just went ahead with what they wanted to
it was clear from when i arrived this was going to happen but i should have expected this!!!!
can anyone help or advise what i can do next or who i need to write to as i am not going to let them get away with it

get in touch with NACSA or see the website deadbeatdads - they will often represent you in cases like yours and it appears they are winning a losing battle in more cases than one
good luck0 -
Be wary of deadbeatdads - they are pure amateurs and really don't have the knowledge nor expertise that NACSA have.0

What was the appeal based on and what evidence did you produce?0

the appeal was to question a deo that was put in place without speaking to me . they said at the appeal that i could not appeal against a deo even though they let the appeal go ahead.the deo was put in place due to arrears(i was paying cash in hand but the ex said i was not)some arrears are due but not the amount that they stated and i have asked on several occassions for a full break down but nothing ever happens. the issue that i have is that my child came to live with me and and i had not received a penny even though i have put in several claims against my ex. i went to the appeal to state my case about it being unfiar putting a deo in place and that i had not rec any payments in over 2 years and that the figures they had were incorrect i even have a letter from them advising of the correct sum but never had a full breakdown of the new figure they say that i owe.the just totally ignored what i was aaying and to be fair i might as well have not been there.
i told them that if i owe money fair enough(even though i dont owe as much as what they say - bearing in mind that i also supplied everything else when he lived with his mother i.e school clothes parties etc etc and she did not pay for anything)all i want is a fair deal and that someone has to explain to me why my claim was left to rot somewhere and never receive any money from my ex
i also have 2 other children who have suffered due to them taking money of me each month
they dont seem to care but im not going to let this go
if anyone can advise who i need to go to next then it would be much appreciated
i also lost my job recently so the deo wont be collected this month so i pressume i will start getting some nasty letters from them(i did phone and tell someone of this and they assurred me that this would not happen)
but we shall see!!0 -

Huge error here...stop phoning them!
When contacting the csa you should only ever write to them.
Send all letters recorded delivery!
Keep copies of everything!
Do not lose anything!
Build a paper file!
Phone calls can be misunderstood on both sides. Records may not be kept accurately by the csa...if at all!
You may eventually need a paper file0 -
You need to be chasing up your claim against your ex - what is the reason that no money has been paid? Is it that the claim has not been processed, or is she on benefits and they can't collect? These are answers you need to get and complain if they have no decent explanation about it, and claim for a special payment.
Get your MP involved in requesting your account breakdown.
Your argument about having a DEO in place being unfair due to not getting money from her isn't one which could have been accepted because both claims are treated totally separately. So, even if you owed her the same as she owed you, both cases would have to be treated as separate ones, and if one pays and the other doesn't action would be taken against the person not paying, it is NEVER offset against arrears due.0
