credit company chasing debt i dont owe - fraud?

I received a ketter from Aktiv Kapital chasing payment of a debt that i have no recollection of. They say that they bought it from another debt company. I responded by asking them to send a signed copy of the agreement and balance to which I have received another letter asking me to call them. I did call them and am now regretting it as i think i should have used a letter to correspond with them instead. They wanted me to confirm my last address to ensure they had the right person which i did and they just said that the account would be put on hold until they have tried to get a signed copy of the agreement. No more than that. I didnt aknowledge the debt and stated again that i had signed no agreement. I then checked my credit records in which to my horror it seems i was sent a ccj in oct 07 to my old address which i left in feb 06 (a month after this so called debt was taken out).

Whats more the debt is showing as a credit card on my report of which i know i have never signed up for. Im thinking fraud. Has anyone got any theories? If it is fraud how on earth do i get my credit report cleared and prove it?

Im starting topanic and 5 months pregnant so im really hoping it doesnt become a stressful saga!
