I received a letter yesterday morning asking me to go to an interview to take literacy and numeracy tests (along with a group of people, the letter states) and that should I pass these I will be given an appointment for an interview.
I sincerley hope they wouldn't go through the trouble of testing my Maths and English, if there isn't any jobs available.0 -

Its not that there are no jobs (for the last four weeks there have been over 100,000 new claims each week, the usual average is 40,000!!!) its that the recruitment process is v long and drawn out, they have to do security checks, nationality checks etc, they also ahve to wait for a training window to become available, this is particularly prevelant to jobs in Benefit Delivery Centres, as you can probably imagine the benefits are pretty compelx! Godd luck with the interview process.
