    Iceland Trade Surplus Rises In December

    (RTTNews) - Friday, the Statistics Iceland announced that the trade surplus stood at ISK 24.18 billion in December, compared with a deficit of ISK 16.69 billion in the previous year.

    During the January to December period, the value of exports rose 8.1% year-on-year to ISK 467.08 billion, while imports value dropped 15.5% to ISK 472.66 billion.

    During the period, the trade deficit amounted to ISK 5.58 billion, narrowing from ISK 127.50 billion deficit recorded in the previous year.
