Swinton have a decent deal on at the moment. Not normally a company I would be seen dead associating myself with but they are currently offering £55 cashback from the usual suspects PLUS £40 of their own cashback to new customers, so £95 total. Just got a quote for my Seat Toledo 1.9 SE TDI (fairly high-ish ins. group, protected no claims, courtesy car etc) and it nets out at £77 for the year!Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
I ended up getting my insurance with Admiral this year, it worked out cheaper for me than any of the other insurance providers, even if they had cash back or not.
Another bonus with Admiral is when you take out fully comp, you get to drive any other vehicle 3rd party. This isn't allowed by a lot of insurers anymore, such as AA to name one, but it is a good benefit if you ever borrow other peoples cars like I do.0 -
and admiral multicar policies work out quite well. for the last two years i have found it cheaper to use admiral even when taking into consideration cashback through quidco etc. i rang them up this year and said i could get my insurance cheaper else where and they knocked over 60 quid off which was good. as above u get 3rd party included if over 25. i would do you research on the net and find the cheapest quote and ring them and haggle. its definitely worth a few hours research to save about 50-100 quid.0

Admiral also run Elephant, Diamond and Bell - there are sometimes slight differences in the policies - but do compare each of them as they tend to use slightly different criteria - so one may work out a few quid cheaper than the others.0

you had better luck than i did, to be honest, as i found them extremely unhelpful and apathetic on the phone. I experienced a 'couldn't care less' attitude when trying to get them to match a price from elsewhere.
I'll make a mental note to try again the next time though0 -

i used work for admiral insurance and if they dont want buisness in a particular area then they will not match prices etc... (same with all companies) also watch out as they will stick ancillaries on like breakdown cover or pa (legal is only one worth having) so check your policy and you can always take them off and get refund if you dont want them or wanna save money.
also if u ring for a duplicate certificate dont pay the £12.75p reprint charge just argue with them, or say change of address do enquire about the document charge automatically added on at this price on most changes.
If u are high risk, maybe young, put an additional driver on your policy, dont leave it policy holder only add one named driver. This is cos the computer alculates the risk lower as it sees the 2nd driver sharing some the driving so less chance accidents. The 2nd driver must be of good age and good driving history, also other variables may affect the differance (occupation). Its worth try i knocked ££££'s off peeps policies this way in CS.SIMPLES!0 -

I can confirm this worked for me. I'm 30 and have 7 years no-claims and no convictions, but adding my 61 year old mum (who actually lives 70 miles away) to my quote with either Admiral or Elephant still knocked over £60 off the price! Well worth a try.0
