Do you have a second job?

About 25 years ago, there was no minimum wage and I used to have three jobs, just to cover the basics:
- full-time (Mon-Fri, 9-5.30) as a PA
- evenings (Mon-Thu, 6-9pm) doing telephone canvassing for double glazing
- weekends (either a Saturday or a Sunday, alternately) as a cashier on a petrol forecourt
At the time we had 25-33% income tax, so it hit harder on those extra jobs.0 -
I used to have a second job a few years back doing house viewings for some residential developers. Was good fun, particularly if you had to sit in an expensive, gadget-laden, all-mod-cons building for a few hours just waiting for someone to want to come round. I used to take a book and a flask of coffee and it was quite relaxing! Only paid about £7 an hour and you didn't get paid for petrol or anything, but it really was easy money.Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0

I have my fingers in loads of pies! I work as a paediatric nurse on the bank so hours vary, I have my own business selling childrens books, I do mystery shopping and I try and to earn extra wherever possible by selling off bits, entering competitions and all that kind of stuff.0
