Let the retailer send them back...your contract is with him and he can't delegate his duty in law to a third party.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

That's what I was thinking? Why should I have to pay a fiver or whatever it would cost to send them back? He's really making it sound like he's doing me a favour already getting me the name of 'Sandra' to send them to and moaned about being out of pocket for sending them back in the first place.
Should I just pop back in and say, 'Great idea to send them back, here you are pal. I'll be back in a week for my refund'?0 -
Your contract is indeed with the shop END OF !
Its not your concern wether his supplier credits him or not
Forget return them & wait a week
Write to him giving him 7 days to arrange your refund
Hes a joker and trying it on
Do it quick with business ethics like that he prob gets low repeat custom & may be out of business if you leave it too long !!!!
Not scaremongering reality in todays high street
Get those boots back & get your money while you can"Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes."
All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -

I have the boots so will, for the sake of a fiver, send them back I think my dealings with his company will be over. He seems to want all the benefits or running a business with none of the actual work.0 -
In the end I didn't send them back to the manufacturer as when I rang to confirm their address and the name of someone to send them to they told me not to bother. They said they understood he was going to deal with a refund and for me to wait to hear from him.
So this I did. I gave him 3 weeks and then sent him a letter that I got as a template from Consumer Direct quoting the sale of goods act and asking for a response.
His response yesterday was to come to my place of work (I was busy and couldn't see him) and then leave me a stroppy voice mail telling me I was out of order for a) Speaking to the manufacturer, b) Sending him a letter like I did c) Being rude not to see him when he came to my place of work. He claims he's been waiting for me to go to him for my refund which sounds dubious to me. Can't say I'm looking forward to going in but the message I got was the 'come in for you refund and then clear off' type.
Why he should try and make out I'm in the wrong I don't know.0
