The link in the MSE email says that this is for Nokia users, but it seems as though anyone can use it?

I read it as anyone could send the message too. I got the email from Club Nokia and I haven't had a Nokia phone for about 5 years now (or an email from them in that space of time either!)

Haven't tried it myself though :)
• I sent one to my husband but entered my email address as both sender and recipient, I then recieved an email saying this;
Your friend **** ****** thought you might be interested in this email.
If you're too shy to reveal your true feelings, let Nokia play cupid for you. You can send a FREE and ANONYMOUS text message to the object of your affection and they'll only find out who it's from if you tell them.
Create your text now and it'll be sent automatically on Valentine's Day
Sending the recipient an email saying that I thought they might be interesed in sending an anonymous text is a bit of a giveaway if you ask me!
It didn't sem to flag up that I entered my own email address twice though. So maybe that's worth a try?
Just thought that might save a few red faces on Valentines Day.

Two posters both spammed this other day. The ironic thing is they spammed another web site both owned by the same person.

The web site is not connected to Nokia. So ask yourself this, do you trust a web site where the owners spam? bolseragency in Leeds

You can get to the nokia cupid website via the main Nokia site, so they must be connected to it.

As I said previously I did get the email from Nokia themselves not a third party agent. :)
• You dont have to fill in your own details just make up any old name and email addresses. The only thing that has to be correct is the recipitants phone number. I have been sending them for days now.

I'm not sure if this is just me being thick, but on the site it only asks for the SENDER'S email address...therefore, how do you think the recipient is going to get an email?

Don't know difference that makes...
as bbsparkles quotes if you put in their email address they will get an email with your name on it. then the people with a few brain cells on recieving the stored text on the day will remember the email and know who sent the text.
The aim is to send ANONYMOUS text messages.
