09/02/2009 - SVR decrease


Following the Bank of England Base Rate reduction, we are pleased to announce that with effect from Tuesday 10th February 2009, Bristol & West Mortgages Standard Varible Rate will decrease from 3.99% to 3.49%.

For existing customers this change is effective from Sunday 1st March 2009.

  • i rang them this morning and they gave me the usual "under review" speech - thanks for this info!

    i had thought that now they were only keeping exisiting customers we wouldn't see any drop in their SVR as they have non need to look competitive anymore - so not sure i understand their dropping the rate again - but am certainly pleased :)
