Can i keep usual bank acct when made bankrupt?

I am planning on going bankrupt this month. I have had a Barclays Cashcard account since march 08 as i couldnt manage my regular debit account. Once i am declared bankrupt am i able to continue using this acct rather than open another acct? Obivously as its a cashcard acct there is no lending on this acct and it has been run well with regular weekly and monthly payments going in. Many thanks for any thoughts xx

Subject to an OK by the OR and Barclay's, then yes.

There is a short period when in theory it might be frozen, but that doesn't happen often with that account and it can normally be sorted quickly.

dont really matter tbh...they asked if I wanted a downgrade to a cash card account from my current one when I went BR...they were one of my biggest creditors as well!

Wow that does surprise me - I didn't think they'd take you for anything if they were looking at writing off your borrowing. I guess BR is full of surprises!
