Loser ?These scammers prey on people who are desperate and believe anything they see or hear.Baza post with your real nick instead of the one you just set-up to reply to this thread.By the way you need learn to spell correctly.
Smoggie if you sent a cheque then contact the police and they will trace it as some of these companies are making £12,000 + a week i am told. The problem is people just accept they have lost £40 and do not bother reporting it.0 -

Sent false details to this lot of sharks in a throwaway email address and got the stock reply. Didn't send them the £39.50 they asked for. Since then had about 6 or 7 emails all saying they have jobs available and asking for the money for the background and security checks. AVOID.0

So pleased I found this site - and just in time - thanks to everyone for their input. My hubbie made an innocent mistake of falling for this scam. Have just got back from the building society and managed to stop the cheque that he had sent to them.
Having read previous comments posted, I telephoned the office at St John Street and the lady who answered the phone reckons that PSP/Nettemp are 'no longer based at this address and any mail sent there for them is opened and returned to the sender'. Yeah right - which is why I stopped the cheque and not waited for the postman!!!!
If anyone else reads this and saves themselves the aggrevation (and forty quid), at least some good will have come out of posting a message.
Cheers :j0 -
Agencies should never charge a workseeker for their services - it's the law.
Any reference checking fees would come from the fee the agency charges the end client.0 -
For saying if you sent a cheque then telling you to contact the police ?I suggest you research things before you send your cash off and get £££ signs in your eyes, like you suggest i should not advise anything.Like 1/ How much van drivers earn on average and B/how much self-employed van drivers earn per hour and also how they operate.I have done both for 23 years around europe so i can understand a lot may not know and get duped but i have no sympathy if they send their money off without doing any research.0
