Ideas for a 1960's themed party.

Hello all.
I've been invited to a 60's themed birthday party. Any ideas about a famous person I could dress up as? ( I thought Cher maybe)Also any ideas about 60's style decorations. I'm not old enough to remember it the first time around, so haven't got much of a clue!

Maybe you could dress up as Lulu?
I'm only 28, so wasn't around in the 60s, but thinking flower power, bright colours, bold prints...
Sounds like a fun night-when is it?

  • Think I'm going to go as Cher. There seem to be loads of furry gilets around. Just need to buy a flowery shirt and big flared jeans. Can't wait til march 21st.

Do you watch the repeats of Heartbeat? Lots of ideas there.

Ideas - white or black plastic boots, big earrings, short A-line mini, polo neck, sleeveless cardie, hairband. Lots of white makeup, pink lipstick

Or early 60's beehive hairdo face and eyes a bit Amy Whitehouse, pencil skirt or net lined full circle skirt, ballerina shoes
