Electoral roll registration at 2 addresses

Hi,
I'm a student and recently discovered that I could be registered on the electoral both at my term time address and at my parents' address. I understand that ideally I should be registered at my parents address and have all my financial correspondence sent to my parents' address to have the best rating, however this is not currently possible.
I currently have everything registered to my term-time address which I change when I move every 12 or so months. I'm just wondering if having my name registered on the electoral roll at my parents' address along with my current term-time address, how would this effect my credit rating? I'm thinking that when I'm living back at my parents address (possibly in a few years time), then I'd be able to apply for credit at that address and my credit record would therefore say that I've lived there for several years and therefore show more stability.
Am I overcomplicating things? Would this dual-address electoral roll record confuse any credit checks or could it help?
Thanks for your help!
