This is all about keeping the share price up.Its pure spin and creative accounting as mentioned.
They are as exposed to write downs same as all other banks just like hb/ll and rbs.And lets not forget thier loan pref shares at 14 percent that has to be paid back too , no word about that in their report.
Its still the riskiest of all the banks imo , and if theres one that will be allowed to go to the wall it will be barcs.Hmg couldnt get acess to their books for a reason.....one can only assume it was a bad idea to let them know something big.Have you tried turning it off and on again?0 -

They are a PLC so their accounts are freely available and if they have accountants doing an Enron stylee hiding act, then they must know with all the public outrage they will get the jail. They wont be allowed to go to the wall and since they have held out this long I doubt they are the riskiest bank, RB is in far worse shape!0
