Yes, but in shares only.I voted for shares only, it would hopefully point them in the direction of not p1ssing on their own chips, as has happened.0

Yes, but only paid retrospectively, once long-term gains are realised.Forgot to say, you can vote on more than one option, if like me, you think capped bonuses, later, in shares, are (just about) OK.
Should maybe have added another option - bonuses for the little guys ie shop floor staff, Ok, but not for the big idiots who !!!!!!ed up the grand strategies. Or bonuses for those bits of the bank that made money, but not for those that lost it.0 -
Yes - assuming they are contractually entitled to them for meeting targets0

No, the !!!!!!!s messed up our economy and should count themselves glad they have a job at all.i voted a resound no, but i have no objection to the cashiers/staff who work in the bog standard jobs getting thiers. after all they had no part in the shambles that is now britain!!
i fiercley disagree with the huge 1m and more bonuses paid to the top these are obscene amounts, and im sure the salary thay recieve(which if i had my way would be reduced) is more than enough to sustain a champagne lifestyle they are used to.
to me a bonus is something that is paid to workers no matter what level for good or over performance and not just something that is written into a contract. it appears here its a case of reward regardless of the mess they have made.self confessed 80's throwback:D
sealed pot challenge 2009 #488 (couldnt tell you how much so far as i cant open it to count it!! )0 -
No, the !!!!!!!s messed up our economy and should count themselves glad they have a job at all.I think I would be grateful to have a job, I cant see how these people honestly expect a bonus on top of that!
They work for a company that effectively lost everything, personally I would not expect this money even if it was in a contract.
The next thing will be they are being given pay rises whilst the rest of us have pay freezes.0 -
I see RBS is still sponsoring the 6-Nations Rugger.
Since they have been bailed out by the tax-payer, should the sponsorship change to "The People's 6-Nations Championship"?0 -
define bankers first
anyone who works for bank in any capacity? or traders/managers actually making/breaking investments etc.?0 -

Yes, in full, otherwise all the talent will scarper to better paid jobs elsewhere.I don't see anything wrong with them getting bonuses as such, if they've performed well - perhaps the definition of "performed well" needs re-evaluating, though0
-
Yes the way the bonuses are calculated needs to be reconsidered.
For example it should be taken on the profit a trader makes, not on the revenue.
And the percentage/amount also need to be tuned down - £120 for selling someone a credit card application is way too much.0
