Hiya Laura ...welcome
Any joint debt in BR will pass to the other party. It is the Official Recievers job to source any debt & apportion it to any liable party (ie your ex-OH) .
Have you spoken to one of the debt charities re your situation??? well worth a call to check out your options.

thank you so much for your quick reply.
yes i 1st spoke to cccs a few years back, did the token payment thing, then did a debt managment plan but can not afford to pay anything now, i was adviced to go BR but was always to scared and just imaged going to court and being shouted at lol, i have already changed my life, pnly buy wat i cant afford and no longer use credit so do u think that OR will think thats good i want all the calls and letters to stop i know im never gonna b in a situtation to pay my debts (£16,000) and just want to start a fresh with it hanging over my head forever!
Sorry im blabbering now, i dont usually talk about this so i guess its all coming out now!

Hiya honeyprincess
Put you whole situation on here & let the other guys have a look... also please consider speaking to the debt charities (CCCS, Cab, Nat Debtline) ...get as much info as you can to assess your current situation.
Above all....you are not alone...we all know what you are going through & are here to help.
