Very cheap eggs

Tried my luck in Tesco earlier. Box of 6 "happy egg" (free range) eggs £1 (not that good a deal I hear you say) but on the shelf label it said £1 / 4.6p each. So after paying I pointed this out to customer services and they gave me back double the difference on the 2 boxes I bought (£2.88...so £2.32 profit:j)

how do you get double the difference back. I took some beer back because it was mispriced - they just gave me my money back.. Do you have to ask specifically???

You shouldn't have to but unfortunately you do sometimes have to ask - politely pointing out the terms and conditions which should be on the wall behind the customer service desk if they don't seem keen!!!
;) If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

You paid £2.00 and it seems like they agreed you were overcharged by £1.44 and gave you a DTD refund of £2.88. Therefore you were 88p in profit.

They will not always agree to a DTD refund on this type of overcharge, as they say the price per item is only there for guidance. Therefore anyone going for this should be prepared for some resistance
